Adoption Application Process

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please begin by completing an adoption application form.

Submitting an application does not commit you to adoption, nor does it place an animal on hold. However, it is a required first step before we can arrange a meet and greet.

Your completed application helps us determine whether the animal you are enquiring about is a good match for your lifestyle and circumstances, or whether another animal in our care may be better suited to you. Applications are reviewed by a member of our committee, and we will be in touch to ask any follow-up questions or to arrange a meet and greet if appropriate.

Please Note

• We do not adopt on a first-in, best-dressed basis. Our priority is to match each animal with the home that best meets their individual needs.

• Applicants must be 18 years or older. The homeowner or person listed on the rental lease must complete the application and will be the responsible owner of the animal.

• We do not offer interstate adoptions or organise transport within Queensland unless a meet and greet has taken place first. You must meet the animal and their foster carer before any transport can be arranged.
